So Ji Sub is returning to the big screen with the highly-anticipated movie Alienoid.
Alienoid Part One follows a group of Taoists from the Goryeo dynasty who mistakenly open a time portal in search of a legendary sword. The portal connects them to humans from 2022, who are tasked with finding an extraterrestrial prisoner locked in a human body.
So Ji Sub has always left a deep impression with his limitless spectrum in his projects, including the movie Be With You and the dramas The Master’s Sun and Doctor Lawyer. In Alienoid, the actor plays Moon Do Seok, a detective chased by aliens for reasons unknown.
After witnessing something unbelievable, aliens start to chase after Moon Do Seok. So Ji Sub will double the tension by delicately portraying the changes that the character goes through. On top of that, the intense chase scene with the starship will provide a thrill unique to the SF action genre.
“I wanted to bring out the new charms of So Ji Sub through the character Moon Do Seok. And he did an amazing job,” director Choi Dong Hoon commented.
Meanwhile, the new SF fantasy movie Alienoid will hit the screen on July 20th.
