Noh Sang Hyun, who made himself known to the public through Pachinko, will continue to be on a roll by joining a new variety show for the first time.
Reports say that the actor will be appearing on a new MBC show titled, Swinging the Robe (working title), helmed by producer Hwang Ji Young. The whole episode of the new show will be shot overseas. Plus, Kim Jong Kook and Ji Hyun Woo will be joining the cast.
Upon the March release of Apple TV+’s Pachinko, the male star received rave reviews for playing Isak, a devout pastor born in Pyongyang who saves Sunja (played by Kim Min Ha) from her crisis and starts a new life with her. Many viewers are left wondering what kind of charm the star will show off in his first variety show project.
Meanwhile, Swinging the Robe is garnering much interest as the comeback project of producer Hwang Ji Young, who had brought ratings riches to MBC with Home Alone for five years from October 2016. She had worked with Park Na Rae, Jun Hyun Moo, Gian 84, Sung Hoon, and Hwasa in Home Alone. Thanks to her, the show became a hot interest among those who wonder what A-list stars’ everyday lives look like.
Swinging the Robe will begin filming this year.
