BTS has won seven nominations at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. However, the group won’t be attending the award ceremony.
On the 9th, Big Hit Music announced, “BTS won’t be attending the Billboard Music Awards to be held on the 15th.”
BTS took home trophies for BBMA for five consecutive years, starting with the Top Social Artist in 2017. Then in 2021, BTS set the personal record for the most nominations with four �” with the group eventually winning all four awards.
This year, this global sensation has set a new personal best by getting nominated for seven nods. Song Sales Artist, Global Artist (Excluding U.S.), Global Song (Excluding U.S.), Top Selling Song, Rock Song, and Top Duo/Group.
If the boys win any awards, they’ll give their acceptance speech through video.
Meanwhile, BTS will release their new album Proof on June 10th.
