The Witch: Part 2. The Other One (hereinafter The Witch 2) is an action movie centering around “the girl,” the only survivor of a demolished secret laboratory. When she comes out into the world, various forces chase after her with different purposes.
The launching poster released on Tuesday catches the eye with the image of “the girl” in a blood-stained lab coat with tubes connected to her. In particular, the transformation of rookie actress Shin Sia, who beat out 1408 other hopefuls for the role, into the new witch following Kim Da Mi heightens expectations.
Moreover, the phrase “The beginning of everything” gives hints about the origin story of the “Witch universe” to be told in the movie.
The global poster released together shows an unidentified group of people in gas masks that shows up in front of “the girl.” Who are they and why are they chasing after “the girl”?
For The Witch 2, director Park Hoon Jung and the cast of The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion have joined hands once again. Besides Shin Sia, the movie boasts an impressive cast and cameo lineup, including Park Eun Bin, Seo Eun Soo, Jin Goo, Sung Yoo Bin, Jo Min Su, Lee Jong Suk, and Kim Da Mi.
