Hyo Won CNC released an official statement regarding the controversy over YouTuber FreeZia (Song Zia).

Kim Hyo Jin, the CEO of Hyo Won CNC, denied receiving Chinese investments for her company, stating, “HyoWon CNC is a small startup company that I started with actress Kang Ye Won with our hard-earned money. We have never received any type of funds or created value through M&As.” The CEO also clarified rumors about the company paying the rent for FreeZia’s expensive apartment. She explained, “Song Zia has been saving money ever since she started working as a fashion model and YouTuber. She is currently paying the monthly rent for her apartment without anybody’s help.”

Broadcasting networks have decided not to air FreeZia’s footage despite the explanation. MBC’s Omniscient Interfering View announced that they would no longer be airing the footage FreeZia filmed with actress Kang Ye Won that was scheduled to air on January 29th. JTBC’s Knowing Bros also stated that they are currently editing her out of the show, hoping to air the rest of the episode as scheduled.

According to a social media analysis platform, the maximum monthly income FreeZia can make through her YouTube channel is about $251,398 (300 million KRW). The Youtuber is also likely to earn $25,139 (30 million KRW) with a single advertisement post on her Instagram account, considering she has about 3.4 million followers. The reportedly high endorsement fees intensified the ongoing controversy over her decision to wear fake designer clothes publically.
