Ryu Jun Yeol may join Jung Hae In in director Takashi Miike‘s new drama Connect.

On October 15 (local time), Sports Chosun reported, “Ryu Joon Yeol will be starring in director Takashi Miike’s new drama Connect, which will be produced in Korea.”

Connect will tell a mysterious story of a man who experiences a strange connection with a person who has received his trafficked organ through a transplant. Currently, the series is in talks with OTT platforms for a direct OTT release. Since Jung Hae In is already in talks to join the drama, all eyes are on their possible teamwork between the two talented actors.

Meanwhile, Ryu Joon Yeol made his film debut with Midnight Sun in 2014 and made a good impression on the public with the 2015 movie Socialphobia. His best-known work is Reply 1988 and he has found himself in stardom with the role in the series.

Since he is currently showing his strength in emotional acting in Lost, expectations are growing for his upcoming collaboratory work with director Takashi Miike.

Previously, Takashi Miike has produced First Love, One Missed Call, Laplace’s Witch, Blade of the Immortal, and Lesson of the Evil and it is his first time to create a Korean drama series.
