The cast of tvN’s new drama Happiness got together for their first table read.
Happiness is a thriller series that will depict the characters’ struggle to survive inside their isolated high-rise apartments after a mysterious incident breaks out. The drama will depict the psychological warfare of the residents from various backgrounds amid the chaotic disaster. WATCHER showrunner Ahn Gil Ho and writer Han Sang Won will be directing the series.
Han Hyo Joo, Jo Woo Jin, Park Hyung Sik, Ahn Gil Ho, and Han Sang Woon gathered and enthusiastically participated in the script reading.
Han Hyo Joo perfectly transformed into Yoon Sae Bom, the finest SWAT agent with quick decision-making skills, and led the reading.
Park Hyung Sik took on the role of clever and honest homicide detective Jung Yi Hyun and played a whole new character from his previous works. The idol-turned actor amplified his character’s delicate yet strong charm and won many hearts.
Cho Woo Jin created tight tension by playing Lieutenant Han Tae Seok from The Armed Forces Medical Command, the one who holds the key to the infectious disease crisis.
The production team briefly introduced the upcoming drama by saying, “Happiness will draw human needs and class discrimination against the backdrop of an apartment filled with people of diverse personalities and levels of greed. Since the changes in each individual’s emotions are important, the actors’ synergy will play an important role in this drama. The detailed acting of the actors is even more realistic than the real fear observed in our real world. Please stay tuned for the upcoming urban thriller series!”
Happiness will premiere in November on tvN and TVING.
