The Devil’s Deal is a film about the betrayal and conspiracy of three men who make dangerous deals for money, power, and honor. Cho Jin Woong, Lee Sung Min, and Kim Mu Yeol play the lead roles. And they paint out the fierce confrontation between unpredictable characters.

Fantasia International Film Festival 2021 runs from August 5th to 25th. The Devil’s Deal is officially invited to Cheval Noir and will have its first screening on the 7th.

Nicolas Archambault, co-director of Asian programming at the Fantasia Festival, shared, “The Devil’s Deal, Lee Won Tae’s first film since The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil, begins as a blatant social satire. But soon, it turns into a violent thriller packed with corruption, insider trading, and organized crime. The lead actor Cho Jin Woong shows the best performance of his acting life. That is to say, he realistically shows the three-dimensional aspect of a politician and plays an abominable yet attractive character. The Devil’s Deal is certainly a must-see work with immersive music, captivating plot, and clever twists.”

In addition to the Cheval Noir, The Devil’s Deal was also nominated for Best Asian Film.
