Song Joong Ki’s crime movie Bogota: City of the Lost resumed filming on June 21st.
Bogota is a crime movie about people closing dangerous deals to survive in Bogotá, where a group of struggling people choose to make a better life for themselves. It is a new film by director Kim Jung Je, who received favorable reviews for his previous work, Minority Opinion.
First, Song Joong Ki plays Guk Hee. He arrives in Bogotá at the age of nineteen and reaches the summit of Bogotá’s business district from scratch. Secondly, Lee Hee Joon plays Soo Young, who came to Colombia as a resident of a large corporate. He roots successfully among Bogota’s merchants with his outstanding entrepreneurial skills. Lastly, Kwon Hae Hyo plays Park Byeong Jang (Sergeant Park), a successful merchant and head of the Korean merchant association. He is a friend of Guk-hee’s father, with who he went Vietnam War. He is the reason the Guk Hee family has moved to Bogota, Colombia.
Bogota originally started shooting in Colombia in January last year but stopped its production in March due to the pandemic. Based on the footage they have, the entire production will be reorganized. They are planning to finish filming in Korea in about three months.
