According to YG Entertainment, on the 4th, BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” music video surpassed 1.6 billion views on YouTube.

It makes them the first K-Pop group to accomplish the feat and have the most views on one music video. And it has been about two years and 11 months since its release on June 15th, 2018. The music video “DDU-DU DDU-DU” became the first K-pop group’s song to reach 1 billion views in November last year and is still as hot as new songs.

“DDU-DU DDU-DU” is the title track of BLACKPINK’s first mini-album SQUARE UP. The catchy hook and dance, where they make a gesture of shooting a handgun with both hands, became popular. Their music video ranked No. 1 in the “most-watched K-pop music video in the world” in the same year of the release.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK has 28 videos that have more than a million views on YouTube. Among them, four music videos effortlessly exceeded 1 billion views: “DDU-DU DDU-DU” (1.6 billion views), “Kill This Love (1.3 billion views), “Bumbaya (1.1 billion views), and “Like the Last 1 billion views).”

Currently having more than 61.7 million, the number of their Youtube subscribers is steadily increasing. BLACKPINK is now the artist with the most YouTube subscribers out of all the female artists globally, rapidly catching up with Justin Bieber, who has the most subscriber in the world.
