Two months after the controversy over Joseon Exorcist, Jang Dong Yoon has finally chosen his new project.

According to Hankyung, Jang may take the lead in the new romance movie Long Distance (literal title) and started filming. Directed by Lim Jae Wan, Long Distance will realistically portray the long-distance relationship.

Long Distance begins when a couple of the same age ends up living in two different places, one in Seoul and one in Geoje Island. As they start their long-distance relationship, the two face conflicts and misunderstandings right away. However, the movie will delicately and realistically follow them as they overcome these difficulties.

To which, Dongyi Company responded, “we can make any assurances.” However, the agency confirmed that the actor is currently in the process of filming.

In March, all the actors in Joseon Exorcist experienced a rough patch when the series was completely canceled due to various controversies.

At the time, Jang Dong Yoon personally apologized, saying, “I only approached the work from an actor’s perspective. The parts where I should have been more careful with the social aspect slipped my mind.

He added, “If you would be kind enough to understand, I will keep this incident in my heart and grow into a more mature actor.”
