BTS’s New Song ‘Butter’ Breaks 5 Guinness World Records

According to Guinness World Records, BTS’s new single “Butter” smashed five Youtube and Spotify records. Guinness World Records announced, “BTS broke records with unequaled numbers.”

The new records BTS’s new single, “Butter,” broke the Youtube records for ‘the most viewers for the premiere of a video on YouTube (3.9 million concurrent views),’ ‘the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours (108,200,000 views),’ and ‘the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group’.

Plus, the single garnered 11,042,335 global streams in just one day, achieving the record for ‘the most streamed track on Spotify in the first 24 hours.’ Moreover, BTS’s music has been streamed 17 billion times on Spotify. The feat now makes the song ‘the most-streamed group act on Spotify.’

Last year, BTS earned the record of ‘the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours (101,100,000 views)’ and ‘the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group.’ This year, they broke the records previously set by their own track.

Guinness World Records said, “BTS is undoubtedly one of the most successful groups in the world according to our records. The success of “Butter” will surpass that of their last single, “Dynamite”.”

BTS released the digital single “Butter” on 21st May, making appearances on world-famous shows to promote the song.
