Han Hyo Joo, Park Hyung Sik, and Jo Woo Jin have officially joined the production of Happiness.
Happiness is an apocalyptic thriller that depicts the survival of people isolated in apartments, a miniature of a hierarchical society. When the high-rise apartment building locks down due to new infectious diseases, the show will portray fears, fierce fighting for survival, and a war of nerves between the survivors.
Record of Youth and Stranger director Ahn Gil Ho will helm the production. Watcher writer Han Sang Woon has penned the script.
First, Han Hyo Joo will return with her girl crush charms. She will be playing Yoon Sae Bom, a member of the special police squad. She is decisive and has fast judgment. And she’s the type to put things into action as soon as she puts her mind to it. But the moment she fulfills her dream of moving into the new apartment, she faces an unprecedented crisis.
Park Hyung Sik takes on the role of Jung Yi Hyun, a smart and honest detective. She always had a crush on his high school classmate and friend Yoon Bo Mi. He always sacrifices himself for the public good and his love.
Han Tae Seuk, played by Jo Woo Jin, is the person who holds the key to the new infectious disease. He was secretly tasked with identifying the cause of the new infectious disease and preventing its spread. However, from time to time, he shows his two-faced nature, heightening the tension.
“Happiness is set in an apartment that is a miniature of hierarchical society,” the production team said. “It depicts human desire and class discrimination. We will give you a different level of fun with the most realistic fear.”
Meanwhile, Happiness will begin filming in May.
