MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul Collaborates with Bumkey on ‘The Lady’ as They Reunite in 7 Years

Bumkey and MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul are to collaborate once again on the remake of “The Lady.” This is seven years after their previous work.

An image was released to Brand New Music and MAMAMOO’s official social media on the afternoon of the 28th. In it, Bumkey and Moonbyul were seen to be smiling. With the picture, it was also announced that the two artists will be collaborating on the single “The Lady” which will be released on May 2nd. The single is more anticipated as Moonbyul will be joining with her vocals for the first time since her debut.

This is not the first time Bumkey and Moonbyul are working together. Bumkey joined as a duet in MAMAMOO’s debut single “Don’t Be Happy” back in 2014. This upcoming song, “The Lady” is a remake of the R&B by 2LSON released in 2012. It topped Korean music charts as Bumkey and Dok2 featured in the song. Moonbyul has also previously uploaded a cover of the song onto MAMAMOO’s official fan cafe in 2015.
