Actress Cheon Jeong Ha from ‘Beyond Evil’ and ‘Mouse’ Passes Away at Age 52

Cheon Jeong Ha has deceased at the age of 52. The actress was found dead at her place on the 27th, and the cause of death is presumed to be kidney failure and hypotension.

Graduating from Hongik University, Cheon Jeong Ha has been acting since 1990. She was mainly active in plays, with Bred from the Eyes of a Wolf and An Ode to Youth as her representative works. After actively participating in short independent films, the actress also recently performed in JTBC’s Beyond Evil and tvN’s Mouse. Her role in Mouse was the mother of Na Chi Guk (played by Lee Seo Joon), the prison guard who’s Jung Ba Reum’s (Lee Seung Gi’s) high school classmate.

Fellow actors and netizens are currently paying tribute to her death. Actress Oh Min Jung wrote on her social media, “I’ve been informed that Cheon Jeong Ha has passed away. Rest in Peace.” Others also visited Cheon Jeong Ha’s social media account to leave their messages of condolence. Her last post was what brought tears to people’s eyes. It said, “Should I try selling mask straps since masks are not selling? I know it’s tiresome but…” The caption seems to suggest that she’s in a financially difficult position.

Aside from the aforementioned series, the actress also made appearances as a supporting role in a number of shows including Flower of Evil, Stranger, and More Than Friends.
