BTS’s global smash “Dynamite” has garnered 1 billion views.
According to Big Hit Entertainment, “Dynamite” music video topped 1 billion views on YouTube on the 12th at 5:46 PM KST. This is the third BTS song that made it into YouTube’s Billion Views Club, following “DNA” (1.2 billion views) and “Boy With Luv” (1.1 billion views). After recording 900 million views on March 10th, the number spiked up by 900 million views in just a month.
The “Dynamite” video set a record for the biggest YouTube Premiere with more than 3 million peak concurrent views. It also garnered over 101.1 million views in its first 24 hours, becoming the biggest music video debut on the video platform to date. Later, it was officially listed in the “Most Watched YouTube Music Video in 24 Hours,” “Most Watched YouTube Video in 24 Hours,” and “K-pop Group with the Most Views in 24 Hours.”
“Dynamite” is a “healing” disco-pop that conveys a message of hope during the tough times of the COVID-19 era. BTS reached the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot100 chart as of September 5th and rewrote the history as the first Korean singer to achieve such a record.
Meanwhile, BTS will hold “Bang Bang Con 21.” It will be live-streamed on Saturday, April 17th, at 2 AM ET on their BANGTANTV YouTube channel.
