Lee Yoo Young may return to the small screen with a new JTBC drama, Insider (literal title).
According to Sports Chosun, Lee Yoo Young has cast a female lead in JTBC’s new action-drama Insider. Insider follows a man’s struggle to complete his revenge and his growth in the process. It will deliver the message of “finding hope and miracle in people even in desperate situations.”
Lee Yoo Young plays Oh Soon Yeon, the biggest madam in the red-light districts. Her beauty is her pistol, and her smartness becomes her sword. With the money and connections made through the entertainment business, she made her name in various fields and interests. Oh Soon Yeon chooses prisoner Kim Yohan, who has the ability to read people, as her “knife.”
If she officially joins the project, she will return to the small screen two years after the 2018 drama Tunnel. Last year, she showcased a mysterious charm in SF8: The Prayer and drama special Traces of Love. But it will be her first leading role in drama after a long time.
Meanwhile, Kang Ha Neul has officially joined Insider as the male lead, Kim Yohan. The drama is penned by Priest screenwriter Moon Man Sae. Missing: The Other Side director Min Yeon Hong will helm the production.
