The new Wed-Thurs series will be greeting its first OST with Weeekly’s “Wake Up,” which will be released at 6 p.m. today (18th) on various music platforms.

After garnering fans’ interests with the pre-released teaser video on the 15th, “Wake Up” is a cheerful song filled with guitar and brass sounds. With members’ unique vocals, the song is both bright and exciting. The song is made by the musician duo ‘Nuvocity’ who previously proved their skills by participating in OSTs for Coffee Prince, New Heart, Doctor Prisoner, The Devil’s Game, and Chip In.

The song sends an inspiring message to all the Ban Ha Ni’s (played by Choi Kang Hee) out there with lyrics such as “Cast a spell on yourself that you can be anything” and “You’re not late even if you take it slow. It will make you stronger.”

As Weeekly’s first attempt at a drama OST as a group, they revealed how nervous they were for the recording of their first drama OST. “We ourselves also got reassured as we sang the song. I wish our voice of encouragement reaches everyone who listens to this,” they said.

Debuting with We Are last year, the ‘super rookie’ group broke multiple records as they wiped out the rookie awards from 6 different ceremonies.
