According to legal professionals on the 11th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutive Services (Detective Unit 7, Chief prosecutor Lee Byung Suk) has summarily indicted Bae Sung Woo on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act on the 6th. The actor has been fined 7 million Won (approximately 6.3k USD).

Earlier, the news of Bae Sung Woo’s driving under influence (DUI) was belatedly announced. He was reportedly booked last month on charges of drunk driving. He was found guilty of taking the wheel after drinking with an acquaintance on the day he was not filming for the drama. His alcohol level was enough to get his license revoked.

The impact was bigger as Bae Sung Woo was starring in SBS’s Fri-Sat drama, Delayed Justice.

In response, the Artist Company admitted the DUI and revealed, “We sincerely apologize. Regardless of the reason, both Bae Sung Woo and the agency are feeling deeply responsible for the incident.”

Bae Sung Woo also expressed as he reflected, “I will be more careful and cautious as I continue my self-reflection. This will not happen ever again. I apologize once again for those who kept an eye on me.”
