The film Josée (director Kim Jong Kwan) remained at the top of the box office for two days.
According to the Korean Film Council, Josée maintained its No. 1 spot in the box office with 15,924 moviegoers on Dec 11. The cumulative audience now stands at 38,534.
With the re-surge of COVID-19 in Korea, the total number of moviegoers per day dropped to 20,000 this week. However, with the release of Josée on Dec 10, the number nearly doubled to 40,000. The total number of viewers who visited the theater on Friday was 44,463.
Josée is a movie that shows the unforgettable moments between Josee (Han Ji Min) and Young Seok (Nam Joo Hyuk) from the day the two first met. It is a remake of the famous 2004 Japanese film Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, directed by Isshin Inudo.
