Big Hit Labels canceled its offline performance due to the re-proliferation of COVID-19.

On Dec 7, Big Hit Labels officially canceled their upcoming in-person concert. They announced, “Big Hit Labels has been strictly adhering to COVID-19 control regulations in preparing for the in-person concert to ensure that our artists and fans can experience the show in the safest environment possible.”

“However, with increasing concerns over COVID-19 amidst the recent surge in confirmed cases and the subsequent increase in Korea’s social distancing level, we have made the decision to cancel the in-person component of this performance for the safety of our artists and fans. The concert will take place online via live streaming, with no offline (in-person) concert in order to adhere to heightened government measures on mandatory social distancing,” the label continued.

They apologized to fans around the world, saying, “We sincerely apologize to all fans who have been waiting eagerly for the in-person concert. Please understand that this decision was made in order to fully comply with the government’s COVID-19 control measures and ensure the safety of everyone involved.”

With this, “2021 NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE presented by Weverse” will only be held online on Dec 31 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
