While GOT7 is making their comeback with double title tracks for the first time, it seems like fans have had it enough of JYP’s “sabotage.”
GOT7 will release their 4th full-length album Breath of Love: Last Piece on Nov 30 and begin their full-fledged promotions. They released their pre-released title “Breath” a week before, and their second title track “Last Piece” will be unveiled at 6 p.m. KST today.
However, the music video teaser, which is usually released at midnight of the comeback date, was nowhere to be seen. Although individual teasers for each member were released, only the album spoiler was unveiled, and there was no music video teaser.
In addition, their upcoming schedule did not include a showcase. According to the official schedule released by JYP, Twitter Blue Room Live is scheduled, but there are no other plans on the day of their comeback. Their broadcast schedule will start with Weekly Idol on Dec 2.
As JYP’s Division 2, which is in charge of managing GOT7, failed to meet fans’ expectations once again, I GOT7s started to protest against the label by putting hashtags like “division 2 do your job” or “division 2 should be disbanded” on Twitter trends.
Their demands included proper comeback promotion, sharing the progress of the complaint to protect artists, and restarting the group’s own content. Here are some of the comments: “Why is there no mv teaser?” “Why are you not explaining the disbandment of Japan fanclub?” “Did you guys sue the haters?” “Do your work, guys.”
