Upon the release of their new album, BTS “took control” of iTunes around the work, marking their spectacular comeback.

BTS’s new smash BE debuted at No.1 on the iTunes Top Album charts in 90 countries, including the U.S., Canada, Britain and New Zealand as of 8 a.m. KST today. And the title track “Life Goes On” also topped the iTunes Top Song charts in 90 countries, proving that the warm comfort that the group delivered through the song has touched many hearts.

Unlike their previous full-length series albums, BE is BTS’s only album presented as a “non-series” album. BE tells how BTS feels now during these difficult times and the “we” that have to keep on living. The title track “Life Goes On” is a song that sends a message “life continues on,” even if you face an unwanted situation where you were forced to stop.

Above all, the members’ participation in this album stands out. The members added meaning by actively participating in the overall album work, ranging from picking out an album cover, choosing concept photos and clips to pitching in ideas for music videos.

Meanwhile, BTS’s “Life Goes On” performance will be unveiled for the first time at the 2020 American Music Awards, held on November 22 (local time).
