Yesterday, fashion editor and stylist Kang Kook Hwa’s Instagram post about a celebrity’s bad behavior made headlines.
In the post, Kang wrote, “I had already prepared myself from all the stories I’ve heard before I met her. But today, I lost my words as this person stung me with her words that are like electric needles,” she added. “I had to stand still in front of that loathsome face that was hysterically throwing a fit at me. I thought that I have experienced all sorts of people in this field for the past 15 years. And I thought I had experienced everything in life and thought I had let everything go, but I stand corrected… [she] skipped the greeting and sat right down across me and started spewing insults at my face as she pointed her finger at me with a phone in her hand… as the knife from her mouth stabbed me over and over again, only tears rolled down my face.”
And at the end of the post, Kang included two hashtags: “#psycho” and “#monster.”
Many began to speculate that Kang Kook Hwa was victim of either Red Velvet’s Irene or Seulgi based on the hashtags, which are references to Red Velvet’s last comeback. She deleted her previous posts praising Irene and Seulgi, further raising the questions.
Irene took to Instagram to apolgize for her attitude and actions.
Below is a complete translation of her post:
“This is Irene.
I sincerely apologize for hurting the stylist with my foolish attitude and rash words and actions.
Although I was able to get to this spot because of the help provided my various people, I regret that my immature actions have caused great pain and I am currently reflecting.
Because of this incident, I have been looking back at the past. I feel very embarrassed because of my lacking words and actions, and I understood how precious the staff are once again.
I will put more thought into my actions going forward so that this does not happen again.
I am sincerely sorry to the fans who support me and to everyone who has been caused concern because of this.”
