BTS’s Jimin shed tears as he confessed the tough times during the COVID-19 pandemic.

At 7 p.m. KST yesterday, BTS held their online concert “Map of the Soul ON:E” in Seoul. At the end of the concert, Jimin said, “I couldn’t really concentrate on the encore performance, but there were a lot of things I felt were unfair before preparing for the concert. When the COVID-19 pandemic started, I wanted to perform with the members more than anything and hang out with you all and be happy. And I just don’t know why we have had to go through this,” as he started to burst into tears.

“But the members were having so much fun during the encore, and I got emotional again,” he added. “I haven’t been able to concentrate from that point on, but I’m happy I get to see everyone like this, and honestly, I’m sorry I couldn’t focus as much as I prepared.”

He continued, “Thank you so much for sending us all your hopes beyond the screen. I don’t know if everything we prepared to show you has been delivered to you, but I hope it did, and I’m grateful to ARMY for always cheering us like this. Thank you.”

Initially, BTS was scheduled to hold “Map of the Soul ON:E” in Seoul in October and conduct both online streaming and offline performances. However, with the aftermath of COVID-19, the concert has been canceled and will only go on as online. The group will hold another performance today at 4 p.m. KST.
