CP Lee Han Hyun and PD Lee Joo Ri, the duo behind CJ ENM’s main K-pop dance YouTube channel ‘STUDIO CHOOM,’ expressed their wishes to act as the “hub” for K-pop’s globalization.”
‘STUDIO CHOOM’ surpassed 1.2 million subscribers in just two years since the channel’s launch. It currently serves to attract K-pop fans who have a deep passion and interest in K-pop dances and choreography. According to the two producers, the channel is growing three times faster than their parent channel, Mnet’s M2.
The channel utilizes 4K video cameras, extravagant lighting, and daring camera stunts in order to enhance artists’ performances. Idols groups ranging from Tomorrow by Together (TXT), ITZY, (G)I-DLE, Stray Kids, GOT7, MONSTA X, and Oh My Girl have performed on the ‘STUDIO CHOOM’ channel and amassed millions of views.
In addition to a variety of other planned content, STUDIO CHOOM’ will launch a new type of content called “ARTIST OF THE MONTH.” They will select one outstanding K-pop artist every month and create a special video about them.
The two producers said, “The first artist we have chosen is IZ*ONE’s Lee Chaeyeon. In addition to showing off the artists’ amazing dance performance, we will also reveal the process that goes into preparing for dance performances and their thoughts about dancing.”
