The lineup of this year’s MBC’s Chuseok special “Idol eSports Athletics Championships” has been unveiled.
On Sept. 14, the production team officially announced that they would be filming the “2020 Idol eSports Athletics Championships” in Gyeonggi Province later today, and released the lineup.
For this year’s eSports championships, two different mobile games – PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile and the mobile version of KartRider �” will be featured.
For PUBG, returning-champions NCT Dream (2019 Chuseok Special), Park Ji Hoon, and Ha Sung Woon (2020 New Year Special) will make their grand comeback. Besides the three, SF9, The Boyz, IZ*ONE, (G)I-DLE, LOONA, N.Flying, PENTAGON, ONF, Golden Child, Kim Jae Hwan, AB6IX, GWSN, DONGKIZ, and CRAVITY will all be competing in the PUBG event.
As for the new KartRider tournament, MONSTA X, NCT, Oh My Girl, WJSN, Lovelyz, WEi, IZ*ONE, SF9, PENTAGON, N.Flying, APRIL, ONF, Golden Child, Natty, and AB6IX will participated in the competition.
Based on thorough disinfection, filming outdoor, practice of social distancing, minimizing the number of staff, the show will prioritize the safety and security of idols and staff. Super Junior’s Shindong and Hong Jin Young will host the event.
The production team plans to live broadcast idols arriving at the tournament on Naver TV and V LIVE at 6 p.m. KST today.
