Im Si Wan and Kim Hee Won are currently in talks to star in a new movie Smartphone (working title).
According to a media outlet, the two recently received an offer and are coordinating details. The movie shows a series of events that take place after an ordinary office worker loses his smartphone.
If they confirm their appearances, Im Si Wan will play the role of the office worker who loses his smartphone, and Kim Hee Won will star as a detective who tracks the case. The two actors have previously worked together in the movie The Merciless.
Since Im Si Wan is known to be working on the movie Emergency Declaration and drama Run On now, his appearance in another movie is drawing keen attention. Also, the movie Boston 1947 (literal title), in which he collaborated with Ha Jung Woo, is yet to be released, so three films starring Im Si Wan may be released next year.
Moreover, Kim Hee Won, who is getting ready for the release of Pawn and The Golden Holiday, will be able to show a whole new side of him through Smartphone, so expectations are rising rapidly.
Smartphone aims to start filming by the early next year after finishing major casting.
