TREASURE’s Bang Yedam expressed his thoughts about receiving attention from the public even before the group’s debut.
TREASURE, a twelve-member boy group, is YG Entertainment’s first rookie group since the debut of BLACKPINK four years ago. The group was formed through YG Entertainment’s survival show YG Treasure Box.
Bang Yedam said, “I can’t believe we’re actually doing a press conference for our debut. As our group just debuted, we will show you our continuous growth and many different sides of ourselves.”
TREASURE quickly entered the U.S. Billboard Social 50 chart at #19 and have stayed on the chart for six weeks. TREASURE’s YouTube channel already passed 1.38 million subscribers, and the group’s debut album reached 170 thousand pre-orders.
Bang Yedam went on, “As our table seniors, BLACKPINK, continues to actively pursues global promotions, more people were able to find out about TREASURE. We are so honored and also very nervous. Fueled by these emotions, we prepared our debut.”
The group also revealed that their goal is to reach #100 on the Melon Chart with their debut song.
