The movie Diva confirmed its release in September and unveiled the first poster that heralds Shin Min Ah’s transformation.
Diva is a mystery thriller that takes place with the awakening of latent desire and madness after the “diving queen” Lee Young was involved in a mysterious car accident. The title “Diva” goes beyond the original meaning of “Goddess” in Latin and contains a complex meaning of competition and desire behind the colorful diving world.‘
Shin Min Ah will play the role of Lee Young, who is slowly eaten away by desire and madness amid lost memories, a missing friend, and cracks that have surfaced in the meantime, heralding a shocking transformation.
Lee Yoo Young plays the role of Lee Young’s friend Soo Jin, presenting a mysterious flow of emotion between being a friend and a rival. Lee Kyu Hyung will play the role of coach Kim Hyun Min, who has been watching Lee Young and Soo Jin for more than anyone else, adding perfection to the play.
The released poster catches the eye with Shin Min Ah’s cold stare. Also, the copy of “Do you want my place?” heralds invisible desire and competition between Lee Young and Soo Jin, who has disappeared.
The tag line “the fall to reach for the top spot” is added to express the irony of diving, where you reach the top as you fall more beautifully. The combination of mystery thriller and diving raises questions.
