Uhm Ji Won and Jeon Ji So from the drama The Cursed, and Oh Yoon Ah and Lee Seol have joined the movie version of The Cursed, written by director Yeon Sang Go, best known for Train to Busan and Peninsula.

According to a film industry on July 16, Uhm Ji Won, Jeon Ji So, Oh Yoon Ah, and Lee Seol have decided to appear in the movie version of The Cursed and are coordinating details.

Drama The Cursed, which aired in February, tells the story of a teenage girl with the ability to curse someone to death and a righteous social reporter fighting against a huge evil lurking behind an IT conglomerate. Unlike the drama which revolved around the “Bangbup” curse, the movie will bring a new subject of “Jae Cha Yi.” “Jae Cha Yi” is a monster from Korean folktale. The monster is introduced as the creature that is being manipulated after being resurrected from the dead (much like zombie and jiangshi).

Uhm Ji Won will once again play the role of reporter Im Jin Hee, and Jeon Ji So, who seemed to have disappeared at the end of the drama, will return as Baek So Jin. Oh Yoon Ah will appear as a managing director of a conglomerate and show off her charisma, completely different from her current role in Once Again. Lee Seol and Kwon Hae Hyo have also joined the project.

The movie version of The Cursed is directed by Kim Yong Wan, who was in charge of directing drama The Cursed, and director Yeon Sang Ho wrote the script following the drama. The second season of The Cursed will starts its preparations once the movie has been released.

Meanwhile, Yeon Sang Ho is currently working on promotional schedules for the movie Peninsula, as well as the pre-production of his new project Hellbound.
