BTS‘s Suga made a meaningful record with his solo song. He set the best record as a Korean solo artist on the UK Official Charts.
Suga released his second mixtape D-2 under his second stage name Agust D on May 22. The mixtape includes 10 songs, including the title track “Daechwita.”
On May 29, the title song ranked seventh on the lastest “Official Albums Chart Top 100” on Official Charts. It is the best record made by a Korean solo artist. Official Charts introduced him as the first Korean solo artist to enter “Official Albums Chart Top 10.”
“Daechwita” also ranked 68th in “Official Singles Chart Top 100.“ “Daechwita” is a song made by sampling traditional Korean military music Daechwita. Tradition Korean music combined with Agust D’s powerful rap certainly catches the ear.
The music video is also a hot topic. With the Korean palace as a backdrop, the beauty of Korean traditions with Suga’s passionate performances stand out.
