Director Park Chan Wook will return with a melodrama. And Park Hae Il and Tang Wei will star in the new film.
According to the movie industry on the 19th, director Park Chan Wook is currently finalizing the script of his new movie Decided to Break Up (working title). It is rumored that his new melodrama film will present deep emotions.
Also, director Park Chan Wook reportedly decided to work with Park Hae Il and Tang Wei after checking the schedules of the actors that fit the role.
Initially, he started working on The Ax, Le couperet, which he had long been preparing, after finishing British television drama series The Little Drummer Girl. However, the movie faced various issues such as investment, so he has begun preparing for a new film.
After struggling among several projects, he selected the melodrama genre as his next film and worked on the script.
As soon as Park Hae Il completes filming director Kim Han Min’s Hansan (literal translation) and Tang Wei finishes working on director Kim Tae Yong’s Wonderland (literal translation), the two will join director Park Chan Wook’s new film in earnest.
Decided to Break Up is currently preparing to start filming this fall.
