[Weekly TV Top 10] With Only Two Episodes Left, ‘The World of the Married’ Continues to Dominate the Small Screen for Seven Consecutive Weeks

Although new dramas have started one by one, all attention is still focused on The World of the Married. Despite the controversy over raunchy production and cast’s problematic private life, viewership has been on the rise. On the other hand, Kim Eun Sook’s The King: Eternal Monarch urgently added producer Yoo Je Won, who recently finished Hi Bye, Mama to the production team, amid the continued decline. In the non-drama category, Mr. Trot‘s TOP7 and Heart Signal Season 3 are in the spotlight. Let’s check out which programs have made headlines over the past week.

JTBC’s The World of the Married remained in the top spot for seven consecutive weeks, while SBS’s The King: Eternal Monarch has remained in second place for four straight weeks. But they are both facing a steady decline. Notably, The World of the Married was embroiled in a controversy over the child actors Jun Jin Seo, and Jung Joon Won after they either used inappropriate languages or were caught drinking and smoking as minors. The King: Eternal Monarch was bombarded with negative responses for excessive product placement. tvN’s Hospital Playlist has been gaining steady popularity in that it is a story that can be enjoyed by everyone in times of social hardship. KBS’s new drama Fix You started its journey at fifth place, receiving conflicting reactions such as “The material is fresh” and “The story shows no probability.”
