Memorist left a heavy message about justice, presenting a satisfying ending.
tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday drama Memorist ended its grand finale on April 30. In the 16th episode, Memorist recorded 3.3 percent average viewer ratings and the highest ratings peaked as high as 4.0 percent, making a success amid favorable reviews.
The Eraser turned out to be Seo Hee Soo (Lee Yougn Jin), an older sister of Dong Baek (Yoo Seung Ho) with the same ability of scanning memories as Dong Baek. The two sibling’s tragic family history completed the puzzle of The Eraser. Despite having the same ability, Dong Baek and his sister chose opposite paths.
Dong Baek, a psychic detective who catches vicious criminals, never stopped his relentless performance till the end. This “‘Memorist’-like ending,” which showed the beauty of superpower investigation drama properly with a breathtaking twist, presented a thrilling catharsis to the end.
