Director Hong Sang Soo‘s Yourself and Yours, starring the late Kim Joo Hyuk and Lee Yoo Young, will be released in the US in June.
According to Deadline, “Cinema Guild has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the Hong Sangsoo comedy Yourself and Yours, which will open on June 5 with digital and home video releases set for later this year.”
Directed by Hong Sang Soo, Yourself and Yours was released in Korea back in 2016 and attracted a total of 18,171 viewers. The late Kim Joo Hyuk, Lee Yoo Young, Kim Eui Sung, Kwon Hae Hyo and Yoon Joon Sang appeared.
The film won the Best Director Award at the 64th San Sebastián International Film Festival and was officially invited to the 41st Toronto International Film Festival, 54th New York Film Festival, 18th Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival, 24th Hamburg Film Festival and 35th Vancouver International Film Festival.
Cinema Guild previously introduced a number of director Hong Sang Soo’s films to Hollywood, including On the Beach at Night Alone, The Day He Arrives, Hotel by the River and The Woman Who Ran.
