According to the sources from the Korean movie scene, Choi Dong Hoon started shooting Extraterrestrial with the cast and other staff on the indoor set on March 29. Starring the prominent actors such as Ryu Jun Yeol, Kim Tae Ri, Kim Woo Bin, Jo Woo Jin, Kim Eui Sung, Yeom Jeong Ah, So Ji Sub and Yoo Jae Myung, the movie will be simultaneously produced in two parts. Each part will be released sequentially, but some of the cast will appear only in the first part.

The shooting of the movie was originally planned to start in the middle of this month, but it was postponed to the 28th due to the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Beginning its work with the filming on the set, the production crew of Extraterrestrial will take care of everyone’s health and safety as much as possible. That’s because it will face a bigger setback in its schedules if the shooting is delayed any longer. Extraterrestrial also takes a quite long time, approximately ten months, to be produced since its first and second parts are being filmed at the same time.

Amid the unprecedented slump in the Korean film industry caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, Choi Dong Hoon’s long-waited new work has been welcomed and drawing keen attention from the media and movie fans. Meanwhile, the first part of Extraterrestrial is set to premiere in the summer of 2021.
