Kim Hyun Joo is likely to join the cast of Hell (literally translated), director Yeon Sang Ho’s new supernatural mystery drama, as a heroine.
On March 23, Sports Seoul exclusively reported that the veteran actor had been considering her appearance as a female lead role after getting a proposal from the production team of Hell. Besides Kim Hyun Joo, Yoo Ah In, Park Jung Min and Won Jin Ah have been also brought up as the strong candidates for other lead roles in the work.
Kim Hyun Joo has constantly attempted to change herself through various genres, including OCN’s crime drama Watcher, with her fine acting and gorgeous looks. It’s highly expected that Kim will make the quality of Hell even higher if she’s cast as a heroine of the drama.
Meanwhile, it’s also said that Hell will be produced as Netflix’s original seasonal drama. According to the multiple sources from the Korean film industry, Yeon Sang Ho has been in the final discussion with Netflix and Lezhin Studio (the production company of tvN’s latest horror series The Cursed) to make Hell a seasonal drama. The sources revealed that Season 1 of Hell would consist of six episodes and its pre-production process would start soon.
We can’t wait to see if Hell causes a Korean occult craze around the world through Netflix, following the K-zombie trend set by Kingdom.
