It has been recently reported that SBS is going through an investigation after Red Velvet Wendy’s stage accident on the ‘2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon’ late last year.
The singer suffered facial, pelvic, and wrist injuries after falling 2.5 meters during rehearsals for the infamous annual televised music festival that takes place at the end of each year. Wendy was supposed to go to a platform on stage, but the stairs that should have guided her down were missing and there were no stage markers for her to see in the dark. She is still in the process of recovering from her injuries and is sitting out on her group’s ‘La Rouge in Japan’ tour.
The situation made many ReVeluv upset, as they have been demanding answers after SBS had said they would do an internal investigation in order to figure out what exactly had happened for the incident to take place. Fans have been using ‘@ReleaseApology’ on social media platforms in order to seek justice for Wendy.
– Korean Police is now investigating the Incident under the charge of 'Negligence causing grievous bodily harm'. We don't know yet whether Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency or Guro Police Station is conducting the investigation.
