On January 17th, Suzy shared two photos of herself wearing a pregnancy belly for the role of Jiyoung in the film ‘Ashfall’ in order to celebrate its reach of gaining 8 million views in the theater, and to prank the fans who hadn’t seen the movie yet. She followed the pictures with the caption, “Posting Jiyoung’s photo in commemoration of ‘Ashfall’ hitting 8 million viewers (If you haven’t seen the movie, prepared to be surprised).”

The pictures left many fans who hadn’t watched the movie yet, heavily surprised as the pregnant stomach looked very real, which just goes to show that the idol-turned-actress was successful in her prank.
The film ‘Ashfall’ is a story of a special forces caption Jo In Chang (Ha Jung Woo) and North Korean office Lee Joon Pyung (Lee Byung Hun) who develop a strong bond after forcibly working together to save the people of both North and South Korea from a volcanic eruption. Suzy plays Choi Ji Young, Jo In Chang’s pregnant wife, who ends up surviving the disasters alone in Seoul while trying to reunite with her husband.
