CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk will play the male lead in the new Netflix series Celebrity.
On Monday, Sports Chosun reported that Kang Min Hyuk was cast as the male lead of Celebrity. Celebrity centers around the emerging class called “celebrity” and a girl who envies them. It features the fierce and turbulent fears and painful and sad desires surrounding this world.
For the show, Kang Min Hyuk plays Han Joon Kyung, the grandson of Korea’s No. 1 cosmetic company. When he gets entangled with Seo Ah Ri (Park Gyu Young), his relaxed life takes an unexpected turn, forcing him into a whirlwind of emotions.
Kang has already starred in two projects since his military discharge, How to be Thirty and Oh My Ladylord, raising expectations for his comeback.
Previously, Park Gyu Young and Lee Chung Ah have joined the project as Seo Ah Ri and Yoon Si Hyun, respectively. The series shows the fun of peeping into the real world that we see inside the screen and tells the exciting yet uncomfortable stories of sick minds who strangely resemble us. On top of that, a secretive mystery and thriller with a hint of sadness will unfold.
