Actor Jeon Do Yeon will star in the new drama Disqualified from Being Human (literal translation).

A source said that Jeon Do Yeon decided to appear in the drama Disqualified from Being Human four years after The Good Wife.

Jeon Do Yeon will play the role of Boo Jung, a ghostwriter who wanted to be a good writer herself. She is a middle-aged woman who failed as a ghostwriter, had a miscarriage a year ago, and now has lost all reasons to live. She, who carries all pain, is a member of the suicide cafe, but nevertheless remains ordinary and kind outwardly.

Disqualified from Being Human is a story of ordinary people who have been trying their best to see the light of the day but only come to realize that “nothing has been done” in the middle of their downward path. The drama revolves around a woman in her 40s who lost her way after failing to accomplish anything, and a 27-year-old man who is afraid of himself believing that he will never accomplish anything.

Director Heo Jin Ho, best known for One Fine Spring Day, April Snow, The Last Princess, and Forbidden Dream, will be in charge of producing and will work with writer Kim Ji Hye.
