Former LABOUM member Yujeong is getting married.
Her agency DCL ENT announced on October 8th that Yujeong will get married in Seoul this December to her boyfriend, who is the same age as her.
Her fiancé reportedly works in the securities industry in Yeouido, Seoul. The couple has been dating for about two years and decided to spend the rest of their lives together after building a relationship based on deep trust and love.
Yujeong also shared wedding photos and a handwritten letter on social media.
“It was in September 2021 that I left a handwritten letter for you all after completing my seven-year contract and ending my activities with LABOUM. It’s already been five years since I last wrote a letter like this,” she wrote.
“Five years have passed much faster than I expected,” she continued. Since 2022, she has stayed connected with military personnel as a regular MC on K-FORCE SPECIAL SHOW, a long-running South Korean military music and variety show hosted by KFN TV. She described the program as being like family to LABOUM. She has also worked as a special radio DJ, released music, traveled to places she had never visited in her 20s, and achieved her dream of living on her own.
“I am getting married this coming winter,” Yujeong announced.
Speaking about her fiancé, she wrote, “I’ve met a wonderful partner with whom I will spend the rest of my life.”
“I met someone who cherishes me like a daughter, even though I always thought I was living bravely on my own. He makes me realize every day how loved I am. He is a good person who makes me feel comfortable and secure whenever I’m with him.”
She concluded, “Just as you cheered me on when I started a new chapter five years ago, I would be grateful if you could support me as I begin this new chapter of my life with your warm hearts.”
“I will continue to work hard and do my best to show you a better side of myself. I look forward to your continued support,” she added. After leaving the group in 2021, she continued her entertainment career, including as a regular MC on K-FORCE SPECIAL SHOW since 2022.
