Rapper Dok2 recently opened up about his relationship with singer Lee Hi, sharing the story behind their long history together on social media.
Dok2 posted a series of personal updates on his Instagram Story on the 30th, revealing a timeline that traces both their professional collaborations and personal connection back more than a decade. His posts quickly drew attention from fans, showing that the two had been closely connected long before publicly confirming their relationship.
According to Dok2, their story began in June 2015, when Lee Hi secretly made an uncredited cameo on his track “We Gotta Know.” Their chemistry continued with their first official collaboration on Lee Hi’s album SEOULITE in March 2016, followed by a joint appearance on Infinite Challenge in December of the same year. Lee Hi later featured on Dok2’s 2017 album Reborn, and in March 2026, the pair officially confirmed their romantic status.
Fans also revisited Dok2’s longtime use of the name “808 HI,” which he has used since his musical comeback in 2022. While many initially believed it was simply a production tag or a reference to the classic drum machine, fans now see it as a subtle tribute to Lee Hi.
The couple has since strengthened their partnership by launching their own joint record label, 808 HI RECORDINGS. They released a duet titled “You & Me” to celebrate both the label’s launch and their public debut as a couple.
Dok2’s affectionate gesture has especially resonated with netizens, who noticed that both artists now follow only each other on social media.
