BLACKPINK superstar Lisa is set for her second major acting role, joining Ma Dong Seok, also known as Don Lee, and Lee Jin Wook in a new Netflix action blockbuster titled Extraction: Taigo. The news was first reported by the Korean outlet IZE on October 15th.
Extraction: Taigo is a spin-off film that expands the universe of the hit Netflix action franchise led by Chris Hemsworth. Produced by the Russo Brothers, the new movie will introduce a fresh protagonist and storyline, with Don Lee playing Taigo, a mercenary on a dangerous mission to rescue a kidnapped colleague. The film will be directed by Lee Sang Yong, known for his powerful action sequences in the hit The Roundup film series.
This marks a huge next step in Lisa’s burgeoning acting career. She recently made her acclaimed debut in Season 3 of HBO’s hit series The White Lotus. The casting news also comes just weeks after she solidified her move into Hollywood by signing with the major U.S. talent agency WME for film and TV representation.
Lisa is one of the world’s biggest pop stars, both as a member of BLACKPINK and as a solo artist. Last year, she founded her own management label, LLOUD, to manage her solo activities across music and entertainment.
