KBS has released the first stills from its upcoming weekend drama Last Summer, offering a glimpse of the tense-but-tender chemistry between Lee Jae Wook and Choi Sung Eun.

Set to premiere November 1st, the new weekend miniseries tells the story of two childhood friends who are forced to confront the truth about their first love—a secret hidden away like Pandora’s box.

Lee plays Baek Do Ha, a talented architect and head of Pluto Atelier. Choi takes on the role of Song Ha Kyung, a government architecture officer eager to escape the small town of Pattan-myeon where she’s lived her entire life. The pair, friends for 17 years, grew distant following an incident two years earlier. Yet Do Ha finds himself back in Pattan-myeon, where unresolved feelings quickly resurface.

The newly released photos capture their dynamic: Do Ha and Ha Kyung sitting stiffly at opposite ends of a sofa, then meeting each other’s eyes with quiet intensity. Another still flashes back to their past—a close, blushing moment that hints at romance before misunderstandings pulled them apart.

The drama promises a mix of playful bickering and heartfelt emotion, following the two as they navigate lingering grudges, rekindled affection, and professional overlap. With both leads working in the field of architecture, viewers can expect not only a love story but also a variety of episodes tied to interior design and construction.

Last Summer comes from writer Jeon Yu Ri, known for Kiss Sixth Sense and Radio Romance, and director Min Yeon Hong, recognized for The Impossible Heir and the Missing: The Other Side series.

The KBS weekend drama Last Summer premieres November 1st at 9:20 PM KST.
