Jo Jung Suk‘s upcoming film My Daughter Is a Zombie has unveiled its first teaser trailer ahead of its July release.
This heartwarming zombie comedy follows a devoted father who secretly trains to protect his daughter, now the last zombie left on Earth.
The teaser opens with Jo Jung Suk’s character, Jung Hwan, hilariously pretending to be a zombie to escape danger. Jung Hwan then heads to a quiet seaside village where his mother Bamsun (played by Lee Jung Eun) lives to protect his zombie daughter Sua (Choi Yu Ri). In one scene, he casually holds back Sua as she tries to bite him, while their adorable cat makes a charming appearance.
Things take a tense turn with the arrival of Yeon Hwa (Cho Yeo Jeong), Jung Hwan’s zombie-hating first love, who ominously asks, “Any zombies I can kill?” Despite his fear, Jung Hwan teams up with his loyal friend Dong Bae (Yoon Kyung Ho) to take on the challenge of taming his zombie daughter.
Directed by Pil Gam Sung of Hostage: Missing Celebrity and A Bloody Lucky Day and produced by Studio N of Sweet Home, Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born and The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, My Daughter Is a Zombie puts a fresh spin on the zombie genre, offering both laughs and heart.
The film is set to premiere in theaters nationwide this July.
