Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Go Eun, and Jung Hae In are set to appear in GD and Friends (literal title), a new variety program helmed by renowned PD Kim Tae Ho. The star-studded lineup, which also includes Hwang Jung Min and Jung Hyung Don, has been generating buzz since the show’s announcement.
GD and Friends, also considering a working title of Good Day, marks a collaboration between BIGBANG leader G-Dragon and producer Kim Tae Ho, who have maintained a close relationship since their Infinite Challenge days. The show is Kim’s highly anticipated follow-up project after the conclusion of JTBC’s My Name Is Gabriel last October.
While specific details and the finalized cast have yet to be disclosed, the program’s title suggests that G-Dragon will take on a fixed role, engaging in various episodes with his celebrity friends.
Joining G-Dragon are his fellow BIGBANG members Taeyang and Daesung, whose appearances are sure to pique curiosity about the group’s dynamic on the show. Additionally, the inclusion of former ZE:A member Yim Si Wan, both born in 1988 like G-Dragon, adds an intriguing layer to the mix.
However, PD Kim Tae Ho remained tight-lipped about the program’s concept and casting, stating, “It’s still too early to officially announce what kind of program it will be or who will be involved. I appreciate everyone’s interest.”
GD and Friends is currently in positive discussions for a slot on MBC, with filming set to take place this month and next, aiming for a 2025 premiere.
