The cast and crew of SBS’s hit drama My Royal Nemesis are reportedly heading on a reward vacation to celebrate the show’s success.
MyDaily reported on June 11th that the team plans to travel overseas from July 7th to July 10th. Phu Quoc, Vietnam, is currently being discussed as the destination.
If confirmed, it would mark SBS’s first overseas reward vacation for a drama in six years. The network’s last international cast trip was for Dr. Romantic 2, which traveled to Saipan in February 2020. While several dramas have found success since then, overseas reward trips were largely put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The vacation is expected to include much of the cast and production staff, including lead stars Lee Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Jun. A few actors may be unable to attend because of scheduling conflicts, but most of the team is reportedly expected to join the trip.
With just four episodes left before its finale, My Royal Nemesis continues to be one of Korea’s hottest dramas. The series recently topped Good Data Corporation’s weekly TV-OTT buzz rankings for the third consecutive week.
The drama has also attracted strong international attention. According to Netflix’s Tudum site, My Royal Nemesis recorded 4.1 million viewing hours and ranked No. 5 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows list.
My Royal Nemesis is scheduled to air its final episode on June 20th.
