Park Seo Joon is proving that even his own family can’t always tell him apart from his famous friends.
The Itaewon Class star took to Instagram on April 1 to share a screenshot from BTS’s new music video for “2.0,” a track from their fifth studio album, ARIRANG. The image featured RM sporting a bold new look that closely resembled the actor.
Park Seo Joon captioned the story with a laugh, writing, “My mother is actually asking if this is me. I love you, BTS.”
The music video, released via HYBE LABELS, quickly went viral for its gritty, cinematic aesthetic. Set in a dark hallway and elevator, the visuals pay a clear and stylish tribute to the South Korean cult classic film Oldboy and its iconic “hammer fight” scene. RM’s appearance in the elevator scene especially drew attention, as his wig and sunglasses created a look so similar to Park Seo Joon’s that fans — and even the actor’s mother — initially mistook the BTS leader for him.
Park Seo Joon also shared a photo of his close friend V, who appeared in the video wearing a fake mustache and holding a lollipop. Park added a simple “lol” to the post, showing his support for his longtime “Wooga Squad” brother.
The two have been close friends for years. Park Seo Joon previously told international media that, despite their age difference, V feels more like a friend who shares similar interests than a younger brother.
With its cinematic references and RM’s playful “identity crisis” moment, the ARIRANG rollout is already gaining strong reactions from both fans and celebrities.
